Warren Theaters in Moore hopes to raise $37,500 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation Oklahoma during the next month.
“As we enter our fourth year working with Make a Wish, and our first year doing so as an entire company, we hope to exceed all our past efforts. We have brought together our experience and our desire to help put together something special for the guests. We hope our community will support us and Make a Wish this year and help the Moore location exceed all previous years.” said Warren Theatres manager, John Stephens.
The much anticipated release of "The Dark Knight Rises" was the perfect setting for this fundraiser.
The theatre will be selling stars and wristbands from June 29 through July 31, with 100 percent of proceeds benefitting Make-A-Wish®.
Previously the theatre has held a fundraiser for Make-A-Wish for each of the Harry Potter premiers since its inception. Warren Theatres raised just over $50,000.
“We are grateful to the Warren Theatres’employees and our community for their support of our foundation,” said Kandy Hadley, Director of Donor Relations, for the Make-A-Wish of Oklahoma. “Because of donors like them, we are able to continue to bring hope, strength and joy to some very deserving Oklahoma kids with life-threatening illnesses because every dollar stays right here in our great state.”
